KS1 Week 7

During this session, the child will understand the importance of their name and self-identity. Teacher led discussions should focus on the impact of name calling and emphasise that calling a child anything other than their preferred name is not kind, unless the child has agreed. The child will learn about the importance of birth registration and their right to be cared for by their parents/carers. Sensitivity is needed as safeguarding issues may come about.
